The GAI Autograph Analysis Process

As a consumer protection company our number one goal is protecting our clients interests.
Global has assembled an all star team of authenticators and the industry’s most sophisticated authentication process.
This six step process employs a blend of proprietary state-of-the-art authentication technologies and esthetics.

1. Physical Analyses

Each item undergoes the following scrutiny:

  • Side-By-Side Comparisons
  • Ink/Medium Analysis
  • Autograph Structure
  • Object Evaluation

2. Covert Identifier

If the item is deemed authentic, each item receives Global's proprietary invisible forensic marker that contains specially coded information unique only to Global.

3. Overt Identifier

A new generation, tamper evident label bearing a unique serial number, is affixed at your discretion, to the item or the Letter of Authenticity, allowing for easy identification.

4. Letter of Authenticity

Printed on esthetically pleasing security paper, a comprehensive letter outlining the finding of your authenticated item is written, describing the characteristics of the autograph or item as to why it is genuine. Additionally you will find:

  • A high quality color photograph of the actual item submitted
  • Matching Certificiation Number
  • Signed by the authenticator

5. Certificate of Authenticity

Each authenticated item is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that displays the unique matching certification numbers for that item in addition to contact information.

6. Online Database Documentation

After each item has been authenticated, Global downloads the authentication findings of your item into its proprietary “Online Authentication Information System” allowing for easy information exchange and verification. To access the Online Authentication Information System click on Cert Check and enter the numeric serial numbers. The Information page will exhibit:

  • Photograph of the item and autograph
  • Authentication date
  • Authentication findings

Non-Authenticated & Inconclusive Items

If an item can not be authenticated or found Inconclusive a credit will be issued to your account and fully refunded less any shipping charges.

Non-Authenticated Items

If an item is found Non-Authentic, a Letter of Conclusion is issued, displaying a color photograph of the item and a detailed explanation of why the item was found Non-Authentic. Full authentication fees are applied.
